
AIMS Spring Break Leadership Camps
AIMS organizes Spring Break Leadership Camps (SBLC) for Girls in middle school (grades 6-8).
The Camps run four hours a day for five days a week either 8:00 am – 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm -5:00 pm. The Camp's dates are scheduled around the Crystal Lake and local school districts' spring break schedules.
The goal of the Camps is to teach Leadership skills and team building through a wide variety of cultural, educational, and leadership activities. Girls receive training in leadership, conflict resolution, and critical thinking skills that can be used during the school year, in preparation for serving as leaders.
The Leadership Camps are designed to be a streamlined program consistently supplying and establishing a leadership voice among girls who will naturally mature into women leaders. Participation in the Leadership Camps can fosters girl’s evolution into competent and active members of their communities in the following ways:
- Becoming more aware of her strengths and areas for personal growth
- Develop tools necessary to gain confidence in achieving a leadership role within her school or community organizations
- Develop better understanding of the difference between transparent verses translucent relationships
- Develop skills and attitudes needed to become leaders among her peers.
